“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.” — Albert Schweitzer

Happiness and health are closely related. Happier individuals tend to experience better physical and mental health outcomes. Positive emotions lead to lower stress levels, improved immune function, and healthier lifestyle choices. Strong social connections, neurochemicals, and the mind-body connection further reinforce this correlation. Ultimately, cultivating happiness promotes overall well-being and longevity.

With this information😇hoping you all are happy, healthy, and doing what you love. Let’s catch up with the week that has passed by.

Design Thinking Exercise: The 30 Circles Challenge

Among the designers of YoungInnovations and CodingMountain, a design thinking exercise was held on March 28 led by anjhero. The Design Thinking Exercise: the 30 Circles Challenge, was held as a collaborative session aimed at fostering innovation and problem-solving skills within a group setting.

One of the participants Shreya Baidya, let's us know more about the event.

It was a fun and fast-paced activity aimed at priming our creative muscles. We each received a sheet with 30 blank circles and just three minutes to transform them into recognisable objects. The simplicity of the task defies its power.
The idea behind that exercise was to break down inhibitions and encourage divergent thinking. By setting a tight time limit and a seemingly open-ended prompt, the challenge pushes participants to think outside the box and come up with a variety of ideas quickly.
The motive is twofold:

Boost creativity: By rapidly generating ideas, we loosen up our thought processes and explore unexpected possibilities. This can be extremely helpful when approaching a design problem later on.

Highlight individual styles: The exercise reveals how each person approaches creative challenges. Some might focus on filling all the circles, while others might create intricate details. Recognising these differences fosters a more collaborative environment where diverse perspectives are valued.

Ultimately, the 30 Circles Challenge serves as a reminder that creative confidence isn’t about producing perfect solutions, but about embracing the exploration process with an open mind.

Holi celebrations at YoungInnovations

We had a full-filled last Friday; as there was a surprise Holi celebration in the YoungInnovations. Along with the YIPL celebrations; here are some other photos of Holi celebrations by the innovators.

A Trip To Daman

Following the Holi celebration with six of his friends, Ankur traveled to Daman on March 23 and spent the night there. There they enjoyed the Laligurans' flowers, wine, and orchard. The pleasant weather was conducive to their stay, and they also explored a park featuring a statue depicting cauliflower and potatoes atop a pillar, symbolizing the region’s significant agricultural yield.

This week, we’re delighted to announce the promotion of Abhinav Tuladhar, Prasanna Dangol, and Samresh Thapa from interns to Trainees. Their dedication and commitment have been exceptional, and we’re confident they’ll continue to thrive in their new roles. Congratulations to Abhinav, Prasanna, and Samresh on their well-deserved promotion, and we look forward to their continued success and growth within our team.

Trekking in the Langtang Valley

One of our friends Aashish Thapa Magar went trekking in the Langtang Valley with his school friends; a journey filled with adventure. A few words from himself.

Trekking in the Langtang Valley with my school friends was an adventure . We started on a journey that took us up to Kyanjin Gompa and Ice Lake. The highlight of our trek was undoubtedly Ice Lake, where we experienced a few hours of pure bliss in the middle of the majestic mountains. However, the weather throughout our trek was gloomy. This gloominess significantly impacted our ability to fully appreciate the breathtaking scenery along the way, except for the mesmerizing Ice Lake. Despite the challenging weather conditions, the cold and crisp atmosphere added a unique charm to our experience, leaving us with unforgettable memories that are hard to describe in words.

Cloudy Skies and Rainy Days: A Week of Weather Changes

During the week, the sky was mostly covered with clouds, making it look grey and gloomy. Some days, it rained, with drops falling from the sky. You could hear the rain hitting windows and roofs. Sometimes, the clouds cleared a bit, and we could see the sun shining through for a short time. Overall, it was a week of cloudy days and occasional rain showers, showing how the weather can change.

With maize and paddy being major cereals in Nepal (Stats published by Nepal Government: Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, 2022), the current weather conditions of cloudy days and occasional rain showers could be beneficial for farmers preparing to plant these crops. Having sufficient moisture for germination can contribute to better crop establishment and healthier growth in the initial stages. This weather could be a successful planting season.
