Christmas / New Year Celebration

At YoungInnovations we take “work hard, party harder” very seriously! 💃

On December 30, we headed to Bishnudole Farmhouse for a riveting Christmas and New Year party! We exchanged gifts, ate and drank to the fullest, and had fun to our heart’s content! There were moments of celebrations and moments of bonding. Among others, moments like these are what we cherish in the future!

Some snaps from the party:

Special thanks to Aayusha KC and Dhamshree for organising such a wonderful event. We appreciate all the tiny and big efforts you put in.🌹

2024 Reading Goals

Each year I set reading goals for myself for the year. The goal is not to increase the quantity of books read, but to make a habit of reading and consumption of fruitful contents. The number of course, acts as a motivating factor 😜

In the last two years I was not able to reach my reading goals because of whatever reasons. This year I tend to see my goals through and what do you know, I’ve already completed a book!

I recently completed Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus. There are a lot of polarised reviews on the book and I understand why. The book is based on science, feminism, and humour following an unconventional scientist (the book’s protagonist). The book does address the difficulties and hurdles women in STEM (which is also relatable for women working in areas that is predominantly “men’s turf”. Some of the aspects of the book however felt forced. The book was a decent read but I feel it did not realise its full potential. Despite that, it does have an appeal to a reader.

Writer’s Segment ✍️

Are you a resolutions — setting kind of person? If so, are you able to stick to it until the end? I for one am not the kind of person that sets resolutions when the new year looms in. However, I do think it’s good to set some goals for a certain level clarity as to what we want to achieve as the earth complete’s revolving around the sun. I have made a mental note to set achievable goals for myself this year. One of my goals this year is obviously to read more. I also want to write more from now on (creative writing that is)...and a few more goals that I’ll keep to myself for now. :)

Thank you for sticking till the end! Happy weekend! 💮
