Meet Sweta Shrestha!

Sweta had just quit her job at a multinational company when we crossed paths with her in 2012. She was looking for two key things in her next job; a place where she could learn something new every day and where she would meet positive, innovative people. YoungInnovations was the perfect fit.
Sweta enjoys the environment and the fact that she is exposed to something new everyday which comes as a perk of working with a bunch of “crazy” intelligent people. But learning new technologies is one side of her job. What is even more interesting to Sweta is discussing these ideas with a group of creative heads who like doing the same. Each day is new, different and extremely challenging, just the way she likes it. Her winning M2WorkHackathon (a challenge that called for ideas on how to create jobs people can do anywhere using mobile phones) is a memory she relates most to working at YoungInnovations. At the company you are given opportunities to excel everyday; she almost always takes her chance. For that, and her impressive work everyday, she deserves a pat on the back!

This is how Sweta inspired us
Sweta is always on the lookout for new technologies and recently, she impressed all of us by implementing a useful, very cool box-shadow trick which attaches one or more shadows to a design element. It’s super cool because with just one line of code we can now make different shapes like lines, triangles and so on, and also create amazing effects. Sweta is great at making sure that she introduces new concepts and technologies to the rest of her team and that we use this knowledge in any new projects we’re working on. She comes up with a list of her weekly learnings for each of our front-enders meetings and runs a presentation and Q&A with her team to ensure knowledge-sharing. Her relentless energy for innovation is one of the many reasons that YoungInnovations stays at the top of our game when it comes to being at the cutting edge of new releases. Sweta is a true front end hero; she is a constant source of inspiration to her colleagues and her enthusiasm means that we collaborate better and more often.
